Vassilios Valaes is a passionate architect whose meticulous care is inspired by his genuine enthusiasm for every aspect of his work as a project manager and project architect. Vassilios’s strength as a collaborative problem-solver creates strong working relationships with both clients and fellow designers, enabling him to respond to clients’ needs by engaging HMFH’s considerable collective resources and knowledge in addition to his own. His dedication and conscientious care builds trusted relationships with school and municipal leaders, and his management of multiple successful projects with the same client is a testament to these relationships. For example, Vassilios and HMFH have collaborated with the City of Cambridge on a string of projects on the city’s high school campus, including the Media Arts Center and comprehensive renovations to the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. The most recently completed of these is renovations to the Cambridge War Memorial Athletic Center, which transformed dark, confusing rabbit warren of shared use spaces into a bright, easily navigable athletic center with sub-spaces customized for the needs of both students and community users.
