HMFH draws on experience and expertise to craft a planning and design process tailored to the needs and challenges of each client. So while there’s no single “HMFH Process” into which we force each of our clients, they have come to expect certain hallmarks of our approach.
We listen. Before we start thinking about solutions or budget or schedule, our project team launches a series of sessions with the owner and users to develop a thorough understanding of the project issues and what they hope the project will achieve.
We communicate. We foster discussion among various interest groups to establish the priorities of a particular project, whether educational innovation, financial efficiency, environmental efficiency, or community engagement and support. Our teams are adept with both graphic and verbal communication, enabling them to present clear ideas in a way that can be understood by clients and users.
We collaborate. Once priorities and goals have been established, we work hard to translate those priorities into design solutions that fit the budget, site, and community expectations, engaging our clients throughout the design and implementation. We focus on solutions, creating buildings that are appropriate to their users and use, timeless in their appeal, and long-lasting.
