In this project for the Public Facilities Department of the City of Boston, HMFH was retained to develop a 53,200 sf physical education building containing gymnasium and a swimming pool. The Charlestown High School and Community School received the Walter Taylor Award, presented jointly by the American Association of School Administrators and the American Institute of Architects in 1980.
